‘Don’t ever give up on you’ – First Lady charges graduates from WAD’s programme for teenage mothers

First Lady, Mrs. Sandra Granger, yesterday, charged an enthusiastic group of 31 teenage mothers never to give up on themselves, in her address at the sixth graduation ceremony of the Women Across Differences’ (WAD) Comprehensive Empowerment Programme for Adolescent Mothers, which was held at the Umana Yana in Kingston, Georgetown.

Pledging to continue its corporate social programmes, Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited on Friday announced that it has partnered with the non-governmental organisation Women Across Differences (WAD) to help tackle the issue of teenage pregnancy here.
About WADWomen Across Differences (WAD) is a non - governmental organisation launched in 1999 and registered under the Company's Act that same year.
The organisation enables women and girls to empower themselves through access to social and economic resources.
